judge for yourself
I have learned that whatever things you deposit within will be brought to surface when you experience the pressures of life.
Recently, my pastor asked his congregation, “Are you feeding the flesh or feeding the spirit?” The one we feed, thrives; the one we starve, dies.
What happens when you are put under extreme pressure? What things come to the surface? And why does God allow that to happen?
He loves us.
The Father doesn’t want us to continue to think, believe or act in any way that is contrary to His truth. Therefore, He allows what is inside of us to be brought to the surface so that we may see it for what it is. We then judge for ourselves if what was once hidden, but now revealed, is godly fruit or not.
Perhaps this is the reason believers are exhorted to consider it pure joy when we face trials of many kinds. According to the scripture, God is testing our faith which produces perseverance. Ultimately, He is granting us opportunity to mature in Christ (James 1:2-4).
