the promise of success

Have you ever sat still before the Lord and asked a life-defining question such as, “God, why am I here?”

“God, what purpose do You have for my life?”

These are questions God loves to answer. Some of you have heard His answer, and you’re walking it out. Some have heard but are afraid to step out. Others refuse to ask out of fear of His answer. But God wants you to know that you can trust Him. His plans for your future are to prosper you and not to harm you. He desires that you walk the narrow path according to His leading. His Word directs you to make level paths for your feet, and you do that by asking and heeding His answers to these very questions.

God speaks over you concerning His plan for your life and declares, “SUCCESS!” I see it like a brightly lit, red bulb flashing sign above your head. He qualifies your servanthood successful on one condition. We qualify our potential for success based on our past, the records of others who have attempted the same, our financial resources, our family line, and the list goes on. God bases your qualification for success on one thing alone. It matters not what He calls you to: the enormity of the task, the obstacles you will face, the places you may have to go…. His qualification supersedes all of that.

“Child, I am with you.”

There. That settles it. If you’ve been beaten down in fulfilling the call of God, be reminded that He is with you. Persevere. He is totally worth it! If you have feared what may become of you if you say, “Yes,” fear no more. He is with you, Child. To fail you would be to fail Himself, and that’s not going to happen. If you have hesitated from asking a life-defining question, hesitate no longer. You want to get on living a purposeful life, so no more holding back! Success is guaranteed!
