your mediator

I’m a little concerned. The local psychic is advertising her business with yard signs posted in the area. “A reading” by a medium must be so enticing for those who are unaware that God is waiting and ready to give us His holy counsel. I emphasize God’s counsel as being holy because any other words of divination have an alternative source: the kingdom of darkness.

Friend, you do not want to grant any evil access into your life. Receive this warning: the enemy of your soul lurks in the dark realm and loathes you to the point of desiring your torment leading to destruction. All you have to do is open the door and say, Come in. If you have already encountered evil spirits, sever all ties now. Announce aloud the demanded eviction notice of every unclean spirit. Keep reading!

For this reason, faith in Jesus Christ is an absolute must! We don’t need any man or woman here on earth to give us understanding of what is hidden in the spiritual realm; we have a mediator in heaven, and His name is Jesus, the Son of God. A promise recorded in Scripture for all who believe states,

So, friends, we can now- without hesitation- walk right up to God, into the “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of His sacrifice… (Hebrews 10:19-20, MSG).

If you have believed upon the blood of Jesus to cleanse you of all of your sins, then you belong to the family of God and are deemed righteous! Your status, accepted, means you are welcomed into the holy presence of Divine God. That’s the power of the blood of Jesus! Those who were once alienated from God are now brought near by the blood.

Do not entertain any more incorrect thinking of your lack of worth in the sight of God. Your worth comes from having believed upon the death and resurrection of Jesus and His seal of salvation upon your life. You are God’s child and He deems you holy and dearly loved.

What is it you desire to understand about the Father in heaven or about yourself? He is waiting and ready to receive you. God has much wisdom that He wants to impart to your heart.

I’m learning through a study by Dr. Mark Virkler, 4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice, that communing with God and receiving His counsel is easy to do. Dr. Virkler directs the believer to still himself, to envision being with Jesus, to hear the words that start to flow, and to journal them. He bases the steps on Habakkuk 2:1-2. He suggests getting alone in a quiet place where there are no distractions, picturing yourself walking with Jesus along the seashore, and asking a simple question such as, “Lord, do You love me?” or “How do You see me?” or “What would You like to say to me?”

When we take a few minutes to actually come before God’s throne with pen and paper in hand, we find that God is ready to direct our hearts in the fullness of His love, His joy and His peace. Therefore, I encourage you to take only ways that are firm; do not turn to the right or to the left, “for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, that man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men…” (1 Timothy 2:5).
