We Pray According to Jesus’ Victory
Are you ready, Weekend Warriors? We’ve got some preaching to do! Not to others- to ourselves! We’ve got to align our minds, hearts, and bodies with the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ and pray according to His victory!
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
The Thursday Yes Day post summoned us to walk in audacious faith and be the change we want to see in the world. You can read that post here.
Faith releases God’s favor, because faith pleases God. So, let’s pray the scriptures and recognize that all of God’s promises are yes and amen in Jesus Christ. Because the Lamb of God was slain and rose again, we know that God will not deny us. We are heirs of God and coheirs with Christ; therefore, the Bible’s promises are for us. So, we wrap our scriptural prayers in thanksgiving, not in words of wishful pleas.
How do you respond when you receive something from a gracious giver? You say thank-you! Begin to see yourself as a child continually receiving from your gracious heavenly Father.
Confident in Jesus’ finished work,
Renee
