Did God Reveal Himself in the Super Bowl?
Lance Wallnau posted the following on his Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/LanceWallnau) in response to his own request for followers to look for prophetic utterances throughout the Super Bowl broadcasted Sunday, Feb. 1. He was intrigued by this idea when his friend prophesied that the sporting event would showcase more than a great football competition; he said that those with eyes to see will perceive God Almighty!
It is not far-fetched to believe that God can and would use a venue such as the Super Bowl to reveal Himself. “Wisdom… calls from the highest point of the city. ‘Let all who are simple come in here!’ she says to those who lack judgment. ‘Come, eat my food and drink the wine I have mixed. Leave your simple ways and you will live; walk in the way of understanding'” (Proverbs 9: 3-6). The Super Bowl is figuratively the highest point in the city considering the viewership reached 100 million!
Some interesting themes promoted in the Super Bowl commercials came through the discussion generated on Wallnau’s page: RESTORATION, FAMILY, FATHERS AND THEIR CHILDREN, MALACHI 4:5-6 (Read Monday’s post on Sharing Love and Truth about this prophesy! Click here.)
First of all, restoration is quite the buzz word from heaven. My husband, Jon, knew the Lord directed his heart at the start of the year to put his expectation in the Lord’s restoration. One day later, Pastor Joseph Prince announced that New Creation Church will feast all of 2015 on just that- His Restoration! That is 20,000 believers in Singapore plus many believers impacted by Joseph Prince Ministries worldwide focusing their hearts on this powerful word coming from the Father’s heart!
Here are Wallnau’s insights on the Patriot’s win last night and a few of the hundreds of comments posted on Facebook.
As far as the GAME goes …. HERE IS THE STORYLINE FOR THE PROPHETS TO DISCUSS. RICH WITH NUANCES this game is….First, did you hear what Butler did and said? He pointed up to God and thanked Him….When interviewed he said “I HAD A VISION I WAS GOING TO MAKE A REALLY BIG PLAY!”… “I AM BLESSED!” The ROOKIE No. #29 Malcolm Butler had a bad REVERSAL when he thought he tackled No. #15 Jermaine Kearse (pronounced curse) but in a crazy moment in Super Bowl history the ball bounced off of Kearse’s stomach and he kept possession! The reversal was bad. The dreaded Kearse (curse) could not be stopped even when it looked like breakthrough. BUT As the Seahawks went to score and END the game, ROOKIE Malcom Butler intercepted the throw! The game was REVERSED again and over! (( and I don’t think Kearse is a “curse”. He made a great play…just surprised when my secretary told me his name and caught pronunciation. )) —– 2015 is a year of reversals reversed—- A year when those overlooked and not chosen by the Pro’s make winning plays! A year when those who make the plays also endure huge contradictions and disappointments. NOTE: In 2014 when the NFL drafted players, Butler watched 35 others get drafted and he was NOT one of them. So he went to the team as a “free agent.”How did he do? “He had a lot of ‘wow’ moments,” they said. “This is a guy that wasn’t drafted, but I believe wholeheartedly that he thought he belonged here.” INDEED….He had a VISION the night before the game. God showed him he would make a BIG play and instead of a big play he had a big setback. THEN….the BIG PLAY.

Janice Riley Dove did a Dad commercial. Nissan followed with another Dad. McDs emphasized family love. Toyota did another Dad commercial. Huge emphasis on family, and DADS! A major shift for USA to be honoring dads and their hearts.

Tracy Williams Carroll I see the commercials being about dads, Malachi 4:6 “And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

Alma Arellano Katy P. Is a prodigal daughter is the time that will see prodigal take place and that generation bringing a voice – we are going to see a lot of grace in many forms in this game

Linda Mann Love that there were 2 commercials regarding the love of fathers for their children. No time like the present for Dads to take their place in the home and actually love their children.

This is just the beginning! Look at Lance’s compilation of comments on his page that stood out to him. Personally, my hope in the Lord’s watchfulness over America is restored. God is speaking to us; He loves us and has not given up on this blessed nation. On Sunday night, the nation gathered football fans from the eastern Atlantic region, fans from the western Pacific region, and everyone in between to celebrate a sport in a place known for its majestic beauty. Isn’t it grand to think that the Lord God would use a party to reveal His glorious nature of love and restoration? Does that sound out of character to you? I’m thinking John 2:1-11, a record of Jesus attending a wedding in Cana and changing water to wine!
O nations of the world, recognize the LORD; recognize that the LORD is glorious and strong (Psalm 96:7 NLT).
