Hide Me

Allow me to invite you into my living room. I want you to hear the sounds I hear and enjoy the sights I see. The finches are busily preparing a nest for their soon-coming family! Their choice spot for shelter- a small area high on the ledge of the back porch.

My moss- covered, potted decor supplies much needed material for their home under construction. The male and female busily gather pieces and sing while they work. You can listen to the song here.

All of their joyful preparation reminds me of the peace you and I can rest in while we reflect on creation’s imagery:

Hide me in the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 17:8).

It is the Lord’s delight to keep us in all of our ways. It is our peace for the taking to trust Him at all times.
