We Build Houses!
I’m excited to share something I have kept a secret for far too long! My husband and I build houses! In fact, much of what we share with small groups about Marriage Building is based upon the process of building a home: from clearing the land to moving in!
Featured today is the home we worked together to design. It’s been Beamer headquarters for over thirteen years! Lots of memories shared here with family and friends! Come in and take a tour!
The Great Room
The decor theme is coastal casual. Cotton window coverings sport bold khaki and white stripes, giving certainty to the fact that there is nothing formal happening here. Come in, put your feet up and relax!
The open shelved bookcase allows for exhibition of treasures collected along the shoreline.
Hang a mirror to strategically capture natural light and brighten your rooms on the north side of the home. A tray of collected ocean finds paired with glass accessories defines coastal charm.
The Kitchen
This custom-designed kitchen has the chef and her hungry crowd in mind! Starting with command central: the built-in desk provides ample space for recipe searching and grocery list preparation.
Jon and I boldly suggest that you fear not including artwork in your kitchen. If you are like we are, you probably spend most of your time there- why not enjoy that level of exposure to your favorite pieces?
The Dining Room
Heirloom silver hangs on the wall but the atmosphere is still coastal casual. We suggest using a burlap table runner accented with beach finds and mercury glass candle holders.
The Foyer and Home Office
The Laundry Room
Don’t pack away those sweet little outfits your babies wore- display them! The laundry room is the perfect spot!
The Master Bedroom
Sandra Cowley artwork adorns the walls of the master bedroom; a sheepskin rug invites the family dogs to stay close by at night.
The master bath boasts ten feet of countertop and a mounted mirror- plenty of space for everyone!
Daughter’s Bedroom
Bonus Room
Serves as a media room or spacious retreat for house guests. Use a room divider to specify distinct purposes for a large room’s space.
The Outdoor Oasis
It’s all about outdoor living and we try to spend every bit of seven months of the year right here.
