Do you know that the enemy wants your thoughts to be self-consumed? He wants you fixated on your past failures, your weaknesses, and fears of the future. What does the Word of God prescribe? That we meditate on God’s unfailing love. His name is Jesus, and, Friend, He has not failed you! Meditate on God’s unfailing love for you. Keep rehearsing the goodness of the Father demonstrated through the giving of His Son, Jesus, for the forgiveness of sins.

Let us take our eyes off of self and put them upon Jesus, the risen Savior and the author and perfecter of our faith. Today we join with saints covering the globe and with those who have gone before us, and we worship God’s holy name!

  1. Where do you get it from that God His Name would be Jesus. God made His Name known as Jehovah. Jesus is the name used to denote rabbi Jeshua, who was born out of the tribe of King David and who is considered to be the son of man, the son of God and the Kristos or Christ, the Messiah. That man is not God but God His son, a big difference.

    • Thank you for responding. I believe in the Holy Trinity. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. One passage denoting Jesus: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning…. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:1-2, 14).

  2. As you say people should look up to Jesus, the saviour of mankind, who did not do his own will (which he would have done when he is God) but fulfilled the Will of God Who accepted Jeshua (Jesus Christ) his ransom offering. Jesus is the Way to God and not to himself.
