Last weekend I had the privilege of sharing love and truth with a group of ladies at a women’s ministry church event. I felt impressed to emphasize the need to release ourselves from the burden to produce.
More than once the Bible states to be transformed (See Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 3:18 and Ephesians 4:23). That’s a passive voice verb. The subject doesn’t make the transformation; he’s a recipient of the work. Passive voice.
Our role in the transformation is the renewing of our minds (See Romans 12:2 and Psalm 1:2). We actively renew our minds in the truth of God’s Word. This is an on-going process, and, honestly, it should be a thrilling pursuit as long as we live! When you and I can say we have inspected the millions and millions of facets of our God’s brilliant glory, then I guess we should head on home to be in His presence. Until that time, let’s make it our business to know Him!
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 indicates that knowing Him is reflecting Him- we increasingly reflect God’s glory! That is the work the Spirit is doing in the life of the believer.
“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
