Why Am I Angry?
Should we get angry when things are out of order? Absolutely!
This is not an endorsement of get your way or get mad! This is a declaration of truth: When God’s Word and ways are being superseded by a representation of unrighteousness and you feel anger rising up- Good! Now act on it!
Jesus displayed righteous anger.
Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. “It is written,” He said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it a ‘den of robbers'” (Matthew 21:12-13).
Unrighteousness in the form of profiteering exalted itself over the purity of worship of Holy God, and Jesus angrily righted it. Where there was disorder, He restored order.
What do you and I do when we see evil exalting itself over what we know to be good and holy? Do we turn a blind eye? Do we hope that someone will do something about it? Do we criticize the people acting in agreement with the spirit of darkness? Do we feel powerless to affect change or do we put an angry heart into action?
My current writing project is a book by the title: Reclaimed Identity: Discover 100 Reasons Why You Are More Than You Know. From the very beginning, the reader receives the challenge to act upon truth, righting every wrong that God grants him eyes to see.
I’m excited for this season of the Church in the earth. We are alive. We are energized by Holy Spirit who works mightily within us to never accept defeat. We are more aware than ever of our inheritance into a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
